I spent most of Friday and Saturday this week planning and decorating my home for my sissy’s baby shower. Basically doing what I love most. It was a great break and distraction from school despite having an exam looming the following week.

The theme was woodland creatures with a touch of florals. It was a very simple and intimate event for close friends and family. Girls only of course. We played games like baby jeopardy and charades while experienced mothers shared their wisdom and horror birth stories.

Food wise we decided to have a build-your-own burger bar which included homemade beef patties with a selection of sauces. It was all very deliciously made with love. Guests had fun making their own unique creations. Missing from the photo is the sweet potato and potato fries (which was still baking in the oven). Place cards for guests with their names calligraphed on. Thank god for a short guest list! hahaha

Overall, it felt like a success since people had fun so yay! Now is just the waiting game for my sister to give birth (yikes!).
